Sani Adams

Analyst

Mr. Adams is an Analyst at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling. Prior to Javelin, Mr. Adams interned in the Capital Markets Group at Monolith Materials, a Renewable Energy / Hydrogen startup focusing on Methane Pyrolysis. While at Monolith Materials, he was responsible for assisting the senior team members in executing capital raises, including a $1 billion debt deal with the U.S. Department of Energy. He has previously worked on real estate acquisitions & development at Builders Co-Venture Fund, as well as in asset management at Federated Hermes.

Mr. Adams holds a BA with a double major in Mathematics and Finance from Ave Maria University.

Matthew Bartlett

Vice President
Mr. Bartlett is a Vice President at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution. Prior to Javelin, Matthew was a Senior Associate at Morgan Stanley in the Global Power & Utilities Group. He has extensive experience leading renewables sell-side and buy-side M&A processes, in addition to general advisory including capital markets (e.g., IPOs and Secondary Offerings) and shareholder activism. Mr. Bartlett holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BBA in Risk Management from the University of Georgia. He holds Series 79 and SIE securities licenses.

Mr. Drayson is a Vice President at Javelin, where he focuses on deal execution. He has more than seven years of experience across financing advisory, mergers & acquisitions, capital structure advisory, restructuring, and liability management.

Prior to Javelin, Mr. Drayson was a Vice President at Greenhill & Co., an independent boutique investment bank, in the Financing & Restructuring Advisory Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Drayson held roles at BNP Paribas, the European Commission, and the White House National Economic Council. Mr. Drayson earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. He holds Series 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Managing Director

Mr. Eastwick is a Managing Director at Javelin where he focuses on renewable energy transaction origination and execution. He has established expertise in the sector with 20+ years of experience on both the buy-side and sell-side. He is noted for innovative financial structures and building successful businesses.

Prior to joining Javelin Capital, Mr. Eastwick was the Chief Investment Officer for CleanCapital, having led ~$500 million of investment into distributed renewable energy projects. Earlier in his career he held various leadership positions at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch & Co and Global Environment Fund. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in economics.

Vice President, Human Resources and Marketing

Ms. Hamilton is the Vice President of Human Resources and Marketing at Javelin where she focuses on leading marketing efforts, managing the New York office headquarters and supporting the senior management team on strategic initiatives of the firm. Prior to Javelin, Bri worked for several firms in the mortgage services and real estate industry where she supported marketing and business development efforts. She is skilled in Strategic Marketing, Operations Management, Vendor Relations, Sales, Leadership and Client Experience.

Ms. Hamilton holds a BS in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Southern California.

Mr. Hill is an Analyst at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling. In 2021, Teddy worked as a summer analyst at GreenFront Energy Partners, an investment banking and advisory platform focused on the clean energy economy. Prior to joining Javelin as a full-time analyst in 2023, Teddy was a summer analyst at the firm.

Mr. Hill holds a BA with a double major in Economics and Global Sustainability from the University of Virginia. He holds a SIE securities license.

Ms. Jang is an Associate at Javelin where she focuses on deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling. Angela completed her Master’s program in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. Prior to her studies, she worked at Bank of America’s Natural Resources Investment Banking Group in New York and Hong Kong, where she was responsible for financial advisory on M&A, IPO, and debt offerings as well as energy transition and business strategy advisory for Asian oil and gas clients.

In addition to her Master’s from Columbia, she also holds a BS in Finance and BA in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. She holds Series 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Mr. Norton focuses on new deal origination and execution in US renewables, energy storage, energy efficiency, and energy technology. He has more than 12 years of experience in the energy industry with a background that includes positions in investment banking, renewable energy development, venture capital, and project management.

Prior to Javelin, Mr. Norton worked for Energy Foundry, an early-stage energy-focused venture capital fund, and Marathon Capital, a renewable energy-focused investment bank. While at Energy Foundry and Marathon, Mr. Norton worked on M&A transactions, capital raises, project financings, and direct equity investments. Mr. Norton also spent several years developing utility-scale wind projects in the US for Nordex and Suzlon.

Mr. Norton focuses on new deal origination and execution in US renewables, energy storage, energy efficiency, and energy technology. He has more than 12 years of experience in the energy industry with a background that includes positions in investment banking, renewable energy development, venture capital, and project management.

Jason Segal, CFA

Mr. Segal oversees all aspects of Javelin’s business with a focus on global merchant banking activities. He has represented asset managers, corporations, project developers, institutional investors, and DFIs/governments on dozens of buy- and sell-side investment banking transactions in the low-carbon value chains.

Prior to Javelin, Mr. Segal founded and managed the Americas practice for Sustainable Development Capital LLP, an environmentally focused specialist financial advisory and investment firm. Mr. Segal was previously a Managing Director at Citigroup, a Managing Director at Nikko Citigroup’s Equities Division in Tokyo, and a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York.

Mr. Segal holds an MBA from Wharton and a BA in economics from Wesleyan University. He holds Series 24, 63, and 7 securities licenses and is proficient in Spanish and Japanese.

Mr. Song is an Associate at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling. Mr. Song completed his MBA program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and previously to that he was an associate manager in the finance department at POSCO International Corporation, a global infrastructure project developer.

While at POSCO, he was responsible for export finance, project finance, and corporate finance for projects in developing countries, including Indonesia, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea.In addition to his MBA from Fuqua, he also holds a BA in Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Raffi Toghramadjian

Mr. Toghramadjian is an Analyst at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution, due diligence, and financial modeling. Prior to Javelin, Mr. Toghramadjian worked as a Business Valuation Analyst at Deloitte in the Energy, Resources, & Industrials sector where he focused on renewable energy. While at Deloitte, he was responsible for creating and updating financial models to assist with tax equity transactions for solar power projects and purchase price allocations for solar energy and battery storage development portfolios. He has previously worked on economic research at the Central Bank of Armenia and public equity research at Pendulo Capital.

Mr. Toghramadjian holds a BS with a double major in Finance and Political Science from Boston College.

Mr. Whitcomb is a Vice President at Javelin where he focuses on deal execution. He joined the team in 2017 and has since advised clients through wind, solar and energy storage transactions in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. Notable transactions include the minority sale and refinancing of a $250M wind farm in the Dominican Republic and raising $400M for Hunt Energy’s energy storage venture.

Prior to Javelin, Ashton was an analyst in power, oil & gas and agriculture investment banking in emerging markets. He has previously worked in development of C&I solar, tidal power and biomass, and conducted his thesis research on community solar. Mr. Whitcomb holds a MA in Sustainable Development from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.  He holds Series 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Dr. Wedding focuses on climate tech startup investment and project finance for new environmental technologies. He brings 25 years of experience in environmental private equity, impact investment banking, CEO coaching, and teaching.
In addition to Javelin, he is the founder of Entrepreneurs for Impact, the top peer group community in North America for CEOs and founders in climate tech, sustainability, and renewable energy; cofounder and board member at Terraset, which uses donor capital to prepurchase carbon removals; a professor at Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill, where he teaches about ESG investing, strategy consulting, and energy finance; Board member at World Tree (agroforestry for sustainable timber and carbon sequestration) and DG Matrix (power electronics for EV chargers and microgrids); and a creator of a leading podcast and newsletter in climate tech (Entrepreneurs for Impact).

Mr. Stewart focuses on new deal origination in hydrogen, renewable fuels, green chemicals, power-to-x, and energy transition. He has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry with a background that is equal parts energy technology commercialization and management consulting.

Prior to Javelin, Stewart grew three successive early-stage energy technology companies as Chief Commercial Officer: BayoTech (hydrogen), Concord Blue (waste-to-energy), and FWD:Energy (waste-to-value). His teams have brought first-of-a-kind energy technologies to market and raised hundreds of millions of dollars in venture capital and growth equity. As a consultant and advisor, Stewart devises and develops bankable net-zero projects at Ikigai Energy for infrastructure funds and industrial partners. Stewart began his career with Booz Allen where he drove growth opportunities in energy & chemicals.

Stewart earned an MBA and Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and a BA in Politics from Princeton University.

Ted Kniesche

Mr. Kniesche is a cleantech entrepreneur experienced in the development and financing of energy transition businesses, projects and technologies. He has a diverse background advancing the energy transition, working with companies in various leadership roles in business, project and corporate development, as well as government affairs.

Mr. Kniesche serves as a Senior Advisor to Javelin, supporting Javelin’s business activities in the waste-to-value sectors. Mr. Kniesche is also a Managing Director at Rusheen Capital Management where he is developing and originating industrial decarbonization opportunities. Mr. Kniesche was part of the founding management team at Fulcrum BioEnergy, Inc. where he was VP of Business Development for 13 years, leading all project and commercial development for the company. Mr. Kniesche was also a Principal at Aiga Capital Partners, a Managing Director at Plexus Solutions, an Associate at U.S. Renewables Group and an investment banking Analyst at Bear Stearns. Mr. Kniesche also runs his own advisory practice, where he advises development companies contributing to the energy transition.

Mr. Kniesche holds a BA in economics and English from the University of California, Berkeley. He also received a General Course Certificate from the London School of Economics.
